Nominate a McLean County veteran to receive a brand-new water heater, professionally installed by Covenant Plumbing, free of charge.
Here at Covenant Plumbing, we love our country, and we never want to take for granted the freedoms we enjoy as Americans. Every one of those freedoms was secured and protected by the men and women who have served in our Armed Forces. Their courage, sacrifice, and service, along with the sacrifices their families made alongside them, are a big part of why we can live, work, and raise our families in a place like McLean County. We are so grateful.
Our name, Covenant, means a promise kept. Our veterans kept their promise to this country, often at great cost, and we believe they deserve to be honored for it. We can’t repay that kind of service, but we’d love to say thank you in one small way, in the area where we are equipped to help: the gift of hot water.
That’s why we’re giving away a brand-new water heater, professionally installed, to a deserving local veteran this Veterans Day. If you know a veteran who has served our country well and could use a little blessing, we’d be honored to hear their story.
A new 50 gallon A.O. Smith tank water heater with standard installation, removal and haul-away of the old unit, as well as our lifetime workmanship warranty. In addition, there will be a free year of our Covenant Comfort Club membership.
- Must be a U.S. military veteran living within Covenant Plumbing’s service area.
- Nominees must own and live in the home where the water heater will be installed.
- Proof of service will be required if selected, such as a DD-214, VA ID card, or veteran designation on an Illinois driver’s license or state ID.
- Community members can nominate themselves or someone they know by completing a nomination form (website or email).

- Current Water Heater:
- Approximate age and any problems
- Photos (Optional but helpful – the photos will help us understand the level of need and will help our techs prepare for the winning install.

- (2) the full water heater from floor to ceiling.
- Launch date: October 12, 2026
- Nomination deadline: November 1, 2026. Nominations close at 11:59 pm CST.
- Winner announcement: November 11, 2026
- Installation: Completed before Thanksgiving
A Covenant Plumbing selection committee will review all nominations and choose one recipient based on the nominee’s story, service, and need.
- Winner must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must own a home within Covenant Plumbing Service area: https://www.plumbingbycovenant.com/service-area/.
- Water heater provided will be a standard size model, selected by Covenant Plumbing.
- An existing water heater must currently be installed in the home (working or not).
- Installation labor and basic materials included. Any major code upgrades or additional plumbing/electrical work required will be discussed with the homeowner beforehand.
- The selected recipient will be asked to sign a media release allowing Covenant Plumbing to share their story, photos, and video.
- No purchase necessary to enter.
- Employees of Covenant Plumbing and their immediate families are not eligible.
- Prize is non-transferable with no cash equivalent. Covenant reserves the right to modify or cancel the giveaway at any time.
- All decisions are final.
