Position Overview
POSITION SUMMARY
The Plumbing Helper supports technicians by assisting with installations, repairs, and job site preparation. This role is designed for individuals interested in learning the plumbing trade while gaining hands-on experience in residential plumbing services. The Plumbing Helper helps ensure jobs run efficiently by preparing tools and materials, maintaining a clean work environment, and supporting technicians in delivering high-quality service to customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Field Support & Job Site Assistance
- Assists technicians with installations, repairs, and maintenance of plumbing systems
- Prepare tools, materials, and equipment needed for each job
- Support technicians by retrieving tools, carrying materials, and assisting with job setup and cleanup.
- Load and unload tools, equipment, and materials from service vehicles.
- Protect customer’s property by using floor coverings, mats, and other protective materials.
- Follow instructions from lead technicians to help complete plumbing work safely and efficiently.
Field Support & Job Site Assistance
- Develop foundational plumbing knowledge through hands-on training and mentorship.
- Participate in company training, meetings, and safety sessions.
- Learn proper use of plumbing tools, equipment, and materials.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and willingness to learn the plumbing trade.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or equivalent, required
- Prior construction, mechanical, or labor experience, preferred
- Demonstrates strong foundation of communication skills, and maintains professionalism
- Shows curiosity about the plumbing trade and desire to develop sales and technical skills through hands-on experience, mentorship, and training
- Willing to take direction, follow instructions carefully, and remain proactive in supporting technicians.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical warehouse duties
- Ability to stand, walk, bend and lift throughout the workday.
